From building requirements documentation, grooming engineering backlogs for iteration planning, and implementing planned sprints into management tools, I believe that effective business analysis is becoming passionately organized with the details. We are constantly thinking about “how” the product is going to function.

Operations

Operations is an important mindset because it will make each teammate's life easier and healthier. When systems and processes are clearly defined, teammates will be better able to successfully deliver their part in making a great product to market.  We have found maintaining templates, guidelines, how-to references, and resources for our tech stack to be a useful way to keep everyone aligned on how we work as a team. In addition, we enjoy collecting, organizing, and presenting data which could include everything from product usage data, Net Promoter Score (NPS), and product stickiness to customer feedback, feature requests, and support tickets. As a team, we are always looking for ways to remove the friction in an agile environment.

When creating a product or service with a start and end date, project management requires a unique skill set. We have worked with companies that use various names to define the stages of their project lifecycle. Regardless of the name, we have found the most important stage is defining the project's scope. When a project is properly scoped, a project manager can perform more accurate resource scheduling, budgeting, and timeline estimates for the client to review. It is important for a company that configures the software to have a project manager that is constantly focused on “when” features need to be delivered.

We lead the facilitation of various certifications for software companies such as SOC I, SOC2 Type 2, ISO 27001, and HIPAA requirements. In addition, we have experience managing vendors to ensure we negotiate the best price and audit the vendors to verify they are compliant.
